Thanksgiving and the NFL
So the wonderful holiday of Thanksgiving is finally upon us. What a great holiday to sit and relax with family and eat a lot of great food. The other great thing about Thanksgiving is football of course. The games have been pretty interesting so far and there is still another one tonight to go.
As I'm writing this I was watching Chris Dotchery from American Idol playing at the halftime show of the Dallas and Oakland game. I'm not a big fan of that type of music, but he didn't do too bad of a job. This brings me to my point; the NFL has horrible music choices. They need to be a little more contemporary and have some more entertaining halftime shows. Over the past few years the music has been extremely mediocre. I blame it all on Janet Jackson and the stunt she pulled. Ever since then the music choices the NFL has chose has been pretty lame.

Patriots Place Showcase Live
So on Saturday night I went over to Patriots Place in Foxboro and recorded a concert at Showcase Live for BTV. It's the first time I have ever been to the revenue as well as the first time I really have taken a good look a the new Patriots Place. Let me start off by saying that Patriots Place is awesome! There's so much cool stuff around Gillette Stadium now, you could spend the whole day there. Showcase Live is just one of many spots to visit. It's got a great bar and its a awesome place to see some local bands. I would defiantly suggest for anyone to check it out. I want to go to the Patriots Hall of Fame one of these days and also I want to check out the Bass Pro Shop because I've heard some great things. Has anyone else checked out Patriots Place yet? Where have you been?

Belichick Bad Call?
So i'm sure a lot of you know about last weeks Patriots Colts game. Coach Bill Belichick went for it on 4th down at our own 30 yard line with a little over a minute left to try wrap up the game. The Patriots were up 6 points at the time and the Colts would have to score a TD to win. Of course as we know now, the Colts did score a TD to win the game with 13 seconds left. It was a tough loss for the Patriots who had been winning all game.
Anyways, what I want to touch on is the negative talk about Bill Belichick. All of the reporters and announcers have been saying that Bill and made the wrong call. Even Rodney Harrison a former Patriot said Bill made the worst coaching call of his career. I'm going to have to disagree. Bill made the call with confidence that he thought his offense could easily pick up the first down and then run the rest of the clock off. After all it was only 2 yards and offense had played well all day. He put the ball in one of the best QB in the leagues hands expecting it to work out, but it didn't of course. My hat goes off to him to have that kind of confidence in his QB and offense. It was a gutsy call, but I think if we punted it the Colts would of drove down the field easily anyway because our defense would of been very passive trying to prevent the big play. I think Bill is getting a lot of negative comments that he doesn't deserve. The call on the field was questionable as is. I honestly think Kevin Faulk got the first down. And if we had gotten the first down everyone would have been singing a different tune. So everyone should give Belichick a break, After all he's won us 3 Championships and given us something to do on Sundays for almost a Decade.

James Cameron is going to coming out with a movie this coming summer. I have already started to see some previews for it. It looks pretty interesting. Looks kind of Star Wars esk, but I don't know how I feel about the amount of CGI in the film. It almost looks like they green screened the entire movie.
For all those who don't know who James Cameron is, he is the director of Alien series, The first two Terminators, and the Titanic. He's put up an impressive resume. Titanic is in the top three grossing films of all time and Terminator 2 is widely considered to be the best action movie of all time. So I guess you can't really question the guy too much abut this new movie selection because he knows what hes doing. I hope it's a good movie because I will probably go see it in theaters. What do you guys think? Have you see the previews yet? Anybody plan on seeing it?

CLICK THE LINK TO SEE THIS AWESOME NEW PHONE
About a week ago Verizon Wireless released a phone called the Droid. Its a Motorola made phone with a Google operating system. I think if there's one company that could rival Apple it might be Google. My cousin just recently bought this phone and I played around with it because I was curious to see if it works as good as my iphone.
I was actually pleasantly surprised. The phone worked just as good as the iphone. Not only did it work just as good it actually did a few things better. This phone streams HD video off of Youtube! It looked just as good as high definition TV. I was really surprised. It also has a 5.0 megapixel camera which is outstanding, takes videos, and has removable memory. The iphone doesn't have any of this. I'll defiantly be looking for Apple to respond in a big way with their 4th generation iphone. If not, I now have an option if i choose to move back to Verizon once my contract is up. Check out the link above to see this awesome new phone!

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is here!
So the game of the year is finally here! I and probably about 300 others went to get the game at Gamestop at midnight. I played some levels from the campaign before going to bed at 2. My first impressions of the game are awesome. Its seems pretty hard, but i guess that's a good thing because it will provide a good challenge to beat the campaign.
I have no classes today so I pretty much have been playing the game all day. Today i basically have played the multi-player all day. Once again i'm very impressed. The game is pretty stunning. All the levels are pretty entertaining. My hat goes off to the Infinity Ward team, they have done a great job with the game. I'll be playing this one for a while. I cant wait for the next one. For all you video gamers out there what do you think so far? Like it, Love it, hate it?

Apple
I think Apple Inc. is literally the greatest thing since sliced bread. I have and iphone which i love and a older imac. I was just watching some videos of all the new MAC products that are coming out and the one that caught my eye is the magic mouse. It basically does everything an iphone can do. It looks pretty awesome and its completely customizable. I was thinking about getting one, but I may just wait and get a macbook instead.
So why is Apple so good? Apple is genius; there advertising campaign is simple yet flawless and their products are built to last. You don't know how many times i have dropped my phone since i got it and it still works completely fine. I have never seen such a complicated electronic work so good in my life. I just recently switched to a MAC computer this summer and I don't think I'm ever going back to windows again. I know there's a lot of people out there like me that are singing Apple's praises and there is also a lot of people out there that are so sick of people like me. But if your one of those people you should give Apple a try, you wont be disappointed.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
One week from today is the release of the HIGHLY ANTICIPATED Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. I have literally been waiting for this one to come out since the day I played the first one back in 2007. I'm pretty sure that Gamestop down the street is going to be opened at midnight Tuesday to see the game. I have heard that some of the stores have over 500 copies reserved for customers. I didn't reserve one because they make enough copies usually anyway.
Anyways, for all you video game fans you must be as pumped as I am. This game may have a chance to be the highest grossing video game of all time and or gross the most money in the first 24 hours ever by any video game. Right now Halo 3 holds the record, but i think this game has a solid crack at those records.
I'm counting down the days until i can get my hands on it and I can only hope that this one lives up to the lofty expectations.

The Stones
I honestly have never been a big fan of the Rolling Stones. I think that is mainly because of how they look and the fact that they are still playing. When I see these guys on stage performing still all that is running through my mind is, its time to hang it up boys.
I'm a huge fan of classic Rock and i love bands like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, etc. But for some reason I have never been a huge fan of the Rolling Stones. The great thing about those other bands is their music is still great even today. Their music seems almost timeless and its still very listenable today even though music has gone through many changes.
Anyways, my friend gave me the Rolling Stones greatest hits CD the other day and i have been listening to it. I have actually quite enjoyed the CD. I have heard most of the songs on the radio over the years and I have now decided that I haven't given the Rolling Stones the credit they deserved. They are a great band and I think I can now put aside my past feelings about them. Their music is also timeless and is very easy to listen to. I think they have got a lot of bad rep because they didn't go out on top like the other bands i mentioned before. They have continued to play together to this day and this is most certainly my reason for not really liking them before. So I just want to say, I'm sorry Rolling Stones and rock on! And everyone should defiantly check out their Greatest Hits CD called Forty Licks.
